Weekly Journal
Last week I managed a quick livestream before the Thanksgiving festivities. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday - I enjoy time with family, but also eating good food.
Sunday, Ashley threw me a surprise "10 Years of Shift" party. It was mostly family and friends. But she also got members of the Laravel community to send in some video testimonials. They were nice to hear, but also help relay Shift's value. As you know, it's not so easy to "talk shop" with family.
When I could, I recorded a few videos for my upcoming Fast Laravel course. I'm feeling more confident I'll be able to hit my target release date of December 16. I'll plug a penultimate reminder, the only way to buy the course at a discount is to be on the early access list.
Weekly Tip
The "breaking" upstream change to artisan tinker (via the psysh dependency) has been reverted.
In my opinion, this was the correct move and should have happened much sooner. Anyway, I don't really want to harp on it. But since I mentioned it a few tips back, I figured I should cap it off.
To that point, if you did lock this dependency (as I suggested) be sure to remove your explicit dependency and run composer update to get the latest version.
