Weekly Journal

Last week I left for our final family vacation of the year. Unfortunately it was cut a bit short by Hurricane Milton. But we enjoyed the time we had.

Needless to say, I didn't write much code last week. I did manage to throw together a simple Shift - the Laravel PreShift.

This is a free and easy Shift designed to better guide users not only on their Laravel upgrade, but also the process of running Shifts. By analyzing your project, the Laravel PreShift will recommend the most efficient upgrade path and note unsupported or abandoned packages.

With the remainder of this week I am catching up on support tasks and meetings. Caen and I are very close to a public beta of our side-project. JT and I are also starting to cook with fire on the other.

🔥 Tip

Since I didn't do much coding last week, today is a more of a life tip - try to keep a positive outlook. I'm not a happy-go-lucky type. But I do believe in trying to stay positive. It's hard. Life can do a lot to bring you down. But I truly believe keeping the right state of mind can have a countering effect on life.
